[As part of the remit to make the Untold LA iPad Book available to as many people as possible I'll be posting pages from the book in sequential order on a regular basis until it is completely online.]
On Page 18 of the Introduction we have an oral history audio clip from Pat Leonard who lived in Los Angeles in the 1930s. In the clip she talks about what it was like to take the streetcar from her home in Victoria Park to Downtown Los Angeles. I wanted to provide a real-world example of what I mentioned in the Introduction Video, that West Adams was the original 'street car suburb' of LA.
