[As part of the remit to make the Untold LA iPad Book available to as many people as possible I'll be posting pages from the book in sequential order on a regular basis until it is completely online.]
The iPad Book is broken up into 11 main chapters, with each chapter focusing on a different neighborhood in the West Adams District. Here we see a 'screen grab' of the Chapter Heading page for the third chapter, Western Heights.
Each Chapter Heading page contains a photo from the neighborhood, an interactive map that shows you where in West Adams the neighborhood is, links to relevant sites and a video, between 5 and 20 minutes long, where I talk about my reasons for shooting the neighborhood and give background information about the history of the homes and area.
In the screen grab above you can see a photo of Wisteria on a Western Heights cottage built in 1922; below you can watch the Chapter Video Introduction.
[Update: It looks like the link to the Western Heights Homeowners Association in the book Chapter Intro is no longer active; like 'apps' iBooks can be updated on a regular basis with no cost to the book owner - I'll fix the link the next time I update the book].
