Putting the iPad Book on the Web for Free
While I think the iPad version of Untold LA is the best way to use the book, (holding an illuminated panel in your hand, almost like a living stained glass window, I find to be an transformative experience), I want to make the content, all 500 photos, two hours of video and 70 oral history audio segments available for free on the web.
With this in mind, every day, Monday through Friday, I'll put posting pages from the Book in numerical order on the blog until the entire thing is available and searchable.
Below are the first three pages of the Book - the Table of Contents, Copyright Page and Dedication. On the Copyright Page is a link to the Version History. So far Version One is online on the iTunes Store with Version 1.2 coming out soon. Already folks have pointed a couple of corrections that need to be made in the book, (I labelled Wisteria as Bougainvillea in one photo - must have not had enough coffee that morning!). As it's an online document, (like an App), it can be constantly updated.
